A MAN has been taken to hospital following a crash.

The man was involved in the crash on Rayleigh High Street outside the Iceland food store.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service Trust said: "We were called to the High Street at around 8.30am today following reports of a collision.

"One ambulance attended and crews treated a male patient at the scene before transporting him to Southend University Hospital for further assessment and care."

The Essex Traffic Control Centre has advised that there are delays in both directions leading up to where the crash happened.
