A year group has been sent home to isolate after primary school bosses were made aware of a second case of Covid-19.

St Peter's Catholic Primary School, who are based in Billericay, have this morning (November 26) sent year one home after being made aware of another positive case of coronavirus, bringing the total to two.

It is believed there are two classes in year one of around 30 kids each, who will now isolate while the year group remains closed.

However, the rest of the school continues to stay open.

The school - which is on Coxes Farm Road - say they will be in contact with Public Health England and Test and Trace, with families expecting a further update later on today.
