A laser was shone at a plane - sparking a police investigation.
Officers say it was shone at a Virgin Atlantic aircraft and crew members raised the alarm by calling police.
It happened at 9.30pm on Wednesday, and police believe the laser was emanating from South Woodham Ferrers.
Essex Police is not appealing for witnesses.
