CELEBRTIES are "very confused" at the new restrictions in Essex while Gemma Collins panic bought McDonalds in response to yesterday's announcement.

Rylan Clarke-Neal, former Xfactor contestant turned TV presenter, from Stanford-le-Hope, expressed his confusion at the new rules with Thurrock and Southend still in tier one of the Government's Covid alert system.

This comes as Towie star Gemma Collins ate chicken nuggets to "get over the shock."

The Diva Forever star, 39, told her Instagram fans she had been driven to "panic eating" after it was revealed London and Essex would be moved to Tier two.

She said: "I’ve had to take to the 'gram with the stress of the new announcement. I’ve had to get a McDonald's.

"Me and Sid are in shock aren’t we … about the lockdown. It’s drove me to have chicken nuggets and chips… panic eating.

"Guys I hope you’re all having a good day and I just wanted to share how I'm feeling, better to share it.

"I love you all, let's just do what we need to be doing and hopefully these chicken nuggets will get me over the shock."

Rylan Clarke-Neal, tweeted yesterday: "Essex moving to high, yet Thurrock and Southend remain medium? This is very confusing?

"I understand they are technically devolved councils but that’s very odd considering one end of the road is Thurrock and the other is Brentwood for example."
