A man was left with a fractured skull after being attacked by a violent gang armed with a hammer at a station.
Officers are investigating the serious assault at East Tilbury Station and have released CCTV images in connection.
On Wednesday 12 August between 4.40pm and 5.40pm, a group of men followed the victim through the station and one of the men then brandished what is believed to be a hammer and hit the victim.
The victim managed to run away from the group, but suffered a fractured skull from the unprovoked attack.
Officers believe the men in the CCTV images may have information which could assist their investigation.
