SMOKE billowed from a car engulfed in flames on a motorway slip-road in the early hours of this morning.
The vehicle was on the junction 24 (Ainley Top) slip-road for the westbound carriageway of the M62.
The fire happened at around 5.30am this morning.
Firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the blaze.
The driver was not "seriously hurt", but his vehicle was badly damaged.
It was completely burnt and the front was melted.
West Yorkshire Police also attended the incident.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We didn’t expect this sight at 5.30am this morning.
"J24 slip road westbound.
"Thankfully the driver wasn’t seriously hurt but I think he may need a new car."
