A CAR has ended up on its roof after a late-night crash in Popley.
Two fire engines from Basingstoke were called out to the incidenty on Popley Way late last night.
The bus stop was totally destroyed, with a spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue saying that the occupants of the vehicle, which ended up resting close to the traffic island, were "lucky not to have ended up in the subway".
Ambulance crews attended the scene which happened just before 11.30pm on Tuesday evening, where one person was taken to hospital with hand injuries.

No one was trapped in the vehicle, with firefighters making the scene safe.
The front end of the car that crashed can be seen in the remains of the bus stop, whilst damage has also been done to a nearby road sign.
The crash happened close to the junction of Popley Way and Tewkesbury Close.
Popley Way is open to traffic this morning.
Debris can be seen surrounding the crash site, with shards of glass and bits of bodywork scattered along the footpath.
