A MAN will appear in court in connection with an alleged attack on two police officers.
Alfie Butler, 26, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to resist and assault by beating of an emergency worker.
It follows reports of a disturbance in a property in New Lane, Feering, at around 11.55am on Sunday (September 20).
It is alleged an officer suffered cuts to her leg while arresting a man and another was reportedly bitten on the hand.
One of the officers remains hospitalised after undergoing surgery on their wounds following the incident.
Butler, of St Peter's Street, Colchester, will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today.
