A PRIMARY school has advised parents and pupils to self-isolate after a positive Covid-19 case in the school community.
Stifford Clays Primary School has emailed two letters to parents advising people to self-isolate after coming into contact with a case of Covid-19 in the school.
A spokesman for the Grays school, in a statement on its website, said: "One is to parents of an identified class and a few additional specific children who are required to self-isolate as per the letter’s instructions following a confirmed case of Covid in our school’s community.
"The second letter has been sent to all parents explaining that we have had a confirmed case but children should attend school as normal unless you have received the letter requiring your child to self-isolate.
"Only a small percentage of children are affected overall."
