Travellers were given a two-day extension to a court order which will see them moved on from the car park of a well-loved beauty spot.
The encampment, which has been at Cherry Orchard Country Park in Rochford since last Tuesday (August 18), had originally been given until 11.30am yesterday to leave the site after a notice was served from the court.
But after a "hospital related issue" arose, the group have now been given until tomorrow at 10am to move on from the car park.
A spokesperson from Rochford Council, said: "Due to personal family circumstances, a two day extension has been granted by the court giving the travellers presently at Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park, a vacation date of Saturday August 29 at 10am."
