PICTURES show police teams raiding a suspected brothel in Basildon.
The Basildon Town Centre Team, which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary, raided the home in Butneys.
The police seized several phones and spoke to a man they found at the property.
Evidence of a brothel – including a document believed to be an appointment book – is being reviewed.
The team, led by Sergeant Paul Hogben, carried out the warrant on Friday July 17.
He said: "Town centre teams do more than just patrol the high street. We're here to predominantly solve problems that affect the town centre.
"That may be shoplifting, but that's also anti-social behaviour, drugs, and in this case a potential brothel."
