A TALENTED photographer has released a series of photos recreating the 20th century in spots across south Essex.
From the 1920s to the swinging ‘60s and punk rocking days of the 1980s, photographer Jaydee Niall has recreated a host of iconic looks.
Ms Niall, 54, grabbed snaps of son Rio Rogers and friend Emily Warren on their travels around Leigh, Canvey and Basildon.
She was pleased to capture some stunning retro shots in iconic areas of south Essex.
Ms Niall, who was raised in Canvey and now lives in Pitsea, said: “My family has always been keen on photography.
“My grandfather, sister, nephew and niece have all been involved in photography and it seems to run in the family.
“I was brought up with older parents, so my mum used to talk about the war days and the flood on Canvey.
“I have always enjoyed history for that reason, so I thought it would be nice to do a photoshoot encompassing different eras.
“I was a punk when I was growing up and I was also a skinhead at one stage.
“It was nice to do a shoot like this and it brought back lots of memories from my childhood and time as a punk.
“When it came to the shoot, I simply had ideas and everything came together. I have an eye for it.”
