The operators of a group of popular Lakes venues have acquired their latest venture– just in time to open this weekend.
Alex Mauro and Colin Monk, owners of High Spirits Leisure Group, have agreed a lease to take over The Fulling Mill, Ambleside.
Mr Mauro and Mr Monk operate several venues including– The Flying Pig and The Arts Bar & Grill in Bowness.
The 15th century, Grade II listed building, has been refurbished by the pair and is ready to reopen on July 4.
The lease was advised on by David Hill and Jamie Allison, from regional law firm, Napthens.
Mr Mauro said: “It’s been tough to get to this stage during lockdown, but thanks to Napthens and a supportive landlord we were able to secure the lease, and the team here have worked hard to have the Fulling Mill ready.
"We’re planning to bring the same approach we have across all our venues but with the necessary public health restrictions for as long as they are needed."
