GHISLAINE Maxwell, associate of late paedophile and financier Jeffrey Epstein, has been arrested by the FBI according to reports.
NBC News reported that the British socialite was “arrested on the east coast on Epstein-related charges and is expected to appear in a federal court later today”.
Maxwell has kept a low profile and her location has been unknown since Epstein was arrested last July on charges of abuse and trafficking of women and girls in Manhattan and Florida from 2002-2006.
Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell in August shortly after his arrest.
Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s alleged victims, said in a civil lawsuit that Maxwell recruited her into the paedophile’s circle – where she claims he forced her to have sex with him and friends including Prince Andrew.
Prince Andrew has strongly denied the allegations, while Maxwell has also said Giuffre’s allegations are untrue.
