A CRASH is causing severe delays on the A127 in both directions.
The crash happened on the Southend-bound section of the A127 near the junction at Rayleigh Weir .
Traffic is stacked back to Fairglen.
There is also heavy traffic approaching Rayleigh Weir from Southend.
A skip lorry has overturned and damaged other vehicles, and the entire carriageway is blocked.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area or allow extra time for travelling.

PCSO Steve Hollands is at the scene.
He tweeted: "There has been an incident on the A127 at Rayleigh Weir - Southend bound. This is causing major traffic disruption in all directions.
"Please avoid the area if you can. If not, expect very long delays..."
Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
Essex Highways have confirmed the A127 is now closed with traffic being diverted.

There are also delays Londonbound with onlookers but police say there are no restrictions on this side of the carriageway.
