WE’VE all been enjoying a picnic in the garden throughout lockdown - especially with the kind weather we have been blessed with.
And this squirrel wasn’t letting us humans have all the fun!
Photographer Paul Stanbrook caught these early morning snaps after setting up a wildlife camera in his back garden.
Hungry! - the squirrel makes himself at home
The 55-year-old, from Shoebury, said: “I’ve been on furlough and my daughter showed me a picture of one of those small picnic tables so I thought: ‘I’ll make one of those.’
“We’ve been having the squirrel come and go for a while now, so we knew he was around.
Right in there - the squirrel makes sure to get every last nut
“I put a little flower pot in with some food and we’ve actually had some magpies so he’s had to put up with them too."
He added: "We're actually finding the nuts in areas of the garden where he has been hiding them so it looks like he has been having some fun."
