A mobile testing unit is in Rayleigh today, it has been confirmed.
Rochford Council have confirmed the mobile coronavirus testing unit is within the Rayleigh leisure centre, on Rawreth Lane, today.
The units will operate from roughly 10.30am to 4pm, using military resources.
Bosses have urged anyone who need to be tested, must pre-book an appointment and travel to the leisure centre by car, not on foot or public transport.
This comes as the Government announced this week anyone over the age of five, who has symptoms, will be able to be tested for the virus.
