A FATAL crash has seen a major road closed in both directions at Rayleigh Weir.
Police and paramedics are currently at the scene on the A127 at Rayleigh Weir.
Essex Police updated its social media pages advising motorists to avoid the area.

The road remains closed in both directions, as well as the Rayleigh Weir.

It is believed that the road was shut at around 2.45pm this afternoon shortly after the tragic incident.
Reports suggest the crash involved a lorry, although this has not yet been confirmed.
Dozens of police were at the scene on the underpass and the bridge at Rayleigh Weir.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, said: “We were called today at 2.22pm to the A127, Rayleigh with reports of a fatal collision.
“We sent multiple resources to help on scene which have now been stood down."
