Works are underway to repair a theatre after part of the roof was ripped off in a storm.

Police shut Station Road, Westcliff after the roof liner of the Cliffs Pavilion, in Station Road, in Westcliff was left hanging down the side of the theatre as the winds are blowing forcefully.

Now bosses say it's almost been fixed.

A spokesman for Southend Theatres posted on Twitter: "Our building has been restored.. well, almost after losing part of its roof to StormCiara."

It comes as weather forecasters have issued fresh warnings.

The Met Office say, Storm Dennis will bring very strong winds over the weekend.

The forecasters say disruption to travel is likely across parts of England and Wales at times.
