CAR enthusiasts want to bring a car show and rally to Southend seafront for fans of the Lotus Seven marque.
The Lotus Seven Club want to bring a 'signature event' to Southend on June 20 at City Beach, made up of about 100 cars.
The Sevens on the Seafront rally would allow members to showcase their beloved cars and show them off to seafront visitors.
The Lotus Seven was launched as a ‘no-frills’ sports car.
According to the Lotus website, the car was available as a fully built car or as a kit, and delivered exceptional performance at a relatively low cost.
Southend Council has received an events application to permit the event. No road closure would be needed.
About 100 cars would be permitted if the event plan is agreed.
