REVELLERS can enjoy a traditional game of bingo and a full-on rave all in one night out as the latest partying crazy sweeps into town.

Fresh from the party island of Ibiza and famous clubbing venues in the likes of Amsterdam and Paris, Bongo’s Bingo has announced it will bring its bingo party phenomenon to Charter Hall in March.

The concept combines the traditional game of chance, which is often associated with older players, with a dance party and immersive live show.

Described as “the most exciting night out in the UK” the firm promises to bring a dose of chaos to the classic game by incorporating rave rounds and dance-offs into the mix.

A spokesman said: “Bongo’s Bingo is proud to offer customers a show that cannot be replicated or found elsewhere, offering everyone a wild escape from reality for a few hours where life’s worries and stresses can be left at the door.

“For those yet to discover the unique Bongo’s Bingo, it is an outrageous combination of an immersive live show, an all-inclusive party and heads-down game of bingo.

“The traditional and much-loved quaint pastime is completely spun on its head and turned inside out again, and whilst bingo is still the core of the show, players are plunged into a crazy few hours of pure escapism.”

There are also all manner of prizes up for grabs on the night, ranging from a box of Coco Pops to large amounts of cash for those who match the numbers on their board.

A spokesperson for Colchester Events Company said: “We are excited to welcome Bongo’s Bingo to Charter Hall in 2020.

“It brings an exciting addition to our existing events programme.

“It’s a craze that’s sweeping the nation and promises to be a great night out.”

Bongo’s Bingo started in Liverpool but the craze has since spread to 42 cities across the globe, with more than 1.5 million tickets being sold.

The event takes place at Charter Hall, in Cowdray Avenue, on Saturday, March 21.

Doors open at 6pm with the first game kicking off at 8pm.

All revellers must be over the age of 18.

Tickets, which start from £10 per person, go on sale via the Bongo’s Bingo app at 2pm on Saturday and afterwards via the firm’s website.
