Firefighters were called to deal with a chimney that had caught light on Christmas morning.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said that it received a 999 call from the occupier of a home in Perranporth at 9.03am.
One fire appliance from Perranporth Community Fire Station was sent to the scene and, once there, crews confirmed the presence of a chimney fire and used chimney rods to extinguish it.
The cause was accidental and was confined to the chimney, a spokesperson for the fire service said.
