THE UK’s oldest sail-training charity is offering young people a chance to take part in voyages.
The Tall Ships Youth Trust’s volunteer support group is offering bursaries to enable those aged 12 to 25 to sail on one of their iconic 72ft Challenger Yachts.
A spokesman said: “No young person should ever be denied the chance of an incredible, challenging and life-changing adventure at sea because of a lack of funds.
“We’d love to hear from individuals keen to take up the challenge of a tall ship voyage.
“We also want to talk to youth groups, schools and other charities who can help us match a specific bursary to deserving youngsters.
“We’re particularly keen to be able to allocate funds to young people from Maldon, Burnham and surrounding areas.”
