DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy was knocked off his bike and robbed in Canvey.
Essex Police received a call from a relative of the teenager on Monday, September 9 reporting the 16-year-old was robbed in Station Road at about 1pm on Thursday, September 5.
The police said they received reports of the boy cycling past three other boys, two who had bikes with them, who shouted at him before barging him off his bike.
The 16-year-old boy was knocked unconscious after falling to the floor and had his bike stolen.
The teenager had cuts to his face but did not require hospital treatment.
The suspects have been described being about 15 years of age.
One was described as being quite tall and the other two of average height.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Members of the public were quick to help the victim and we are keen to locate the three boys and the bike, which is described as having a bright orange frame and rubber worn grips on the handlebars.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Canvey police station on 101 quoting crime reference 42/144508/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
