FLOOD warnings remain in place across the area ahead of Monday evening's high tide.

As reported by the Packet on Sunday afternoon, the Government's flood information service said that Praa Sands, Porthleven, Portreath and St Ives were "particularly at risk".

The warnings remain in place for Monday and some have now been updated to include Tuesday morning's high tide.

Warnings are in place for sections of the south coast, including from Land's End to Lizard Point.

On Monday morning, the warnings said that Praa Sands and Porthleven remained at high risk on the south coast and Portreath and St Ives were among the locations vulnerable on the north coast.

There are warnings out from Land's End up to Bude on the north coast.

A flood warning is a level up from a flood alert and means that "flooding is expected – immediate action required".

High tide on Monday evening at Porthleven is set to reach just under 6m. At Portreath 7.8m is expected.
