A MAN was rescued by the fire service following a crash which saw him trapped inside his car.
The smash involving two vehicles took place around midday today, September 24, at Priory Cresent, Southend.
Partof the A127 is closed and diversions are in place. Motorists can expect some delays.
Essex Fire and Rescue Service, said: "Firefighters assisted at the scene of a road traffic collision close to the A127 this afternoon.
"On arrival, crews confirmed that two vehicles had been involved in the incident, leaving one man trapped.
"Firefighters managed to release the man by 12.47pm, before leaving him in the care of the Ambulance Service."
A spokesman for Essex Police, said: "We were called to reports of a collision in Priory Crescent, Southend at around 12.15pm on Tuesday September 24.
"We attended and found two vehicles which had been in collision. No-one has been seriously injured.
