MORE than 200 classic cars transported visitors back in time at a vintage vehicle show.

Brain injury charity Headway Essex, based in Colchester, hosted the classic car show in the town’s Castle Park.

The event is in its fourth consecutive year and continues to grow in popularity.

With more than 240 classic vehicles on display, the event attracted more than 2,500 visitors.

Trophies were awarded for categories including best pre-war car and best vehicle of the show.

The winner of the coveted best vehicle in show was a Ford Popular 103e 1958.

Singer Steve Brewer and free-runners and acrobats from Team Kinetix entertained the crowds who also enjoyed craft, gift and food stalls.

The event raised more than £10,000.
