A man has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car.
The incident happened near Burns Avenue, Pitsea yesterday afternoon.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to the scene of a collision near to Burns Avenue, Pitsea involving a white Vauxhall Astra and a pedestrian.
"The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital by air ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
"The driver has been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
"Witnesses or anyone who was on the road at the time of the collision and has dash cam footage are asked to contact Chigwell Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting incident 457 of 7 September."
