A community has raised hundreds of pounds after mindless vandals repeatedly targeted a charity therapy garden.
Mental health and wellbeing charity, Trust Links, has had its therapeutic garden in Shoebury vandalised, and held an afternoon tea to thank those who have donated to help repair the damage.
The break-ins in July saw the pet guinea pig outdoor enclosures smashed up, gardens flooded, potatoes dug up and stolen, and CCTV damaged.
The community helped raise more than £400 and donated new enclosures for the guinea pigs.
Trust Links, chief executive, Matt King said: “We are so grateful to our wonderful community for pulling together and helping us repair the damage caused, but we are still desperately in need of support to upgrade our CCTV system and would love to hear from anyone who can help.”
