Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival is set to bring the apple-based fun to Healey's Cyder Farm near Truro next weekend.

The seventh edition of the event sees Reef, The Zutons, The Wurzels, Skinny Lister and Mad Dog Mcrea among the acts set to play.

It all takes place from Friday, September 13, to Sunday, September 15, at the Penhallow site.

With cask ciders aplenty, connoisseurs can look forward to a weekend of apple-based tipples, live music, and games for all the family to enjoy.

With opportunities to dance among the trees in glistening moonlight, enjoy performances from national artists and compete against fellow festival goers for the Rattler Olympics crown, Little Orchard Cider & Music Festival is also set to be graced with motorised sofas and the resident grannies.

Formed in Liverpool in 2001, indie rock band The Zutons will headline festival proceedings on Saturday.

Having released their first album ‘Who Killed The Zutons’ back in 2004, which spawned hit singles ‘Pressure Point’, ‘Remember Me’, ‘Confusion’ and ‘You Will You Won’t’, it later went on to sell more than 600,000 copies in the UK alone.

The band then recorded a further two albums, ‘Tired of Hanging Around’ – including ‘Valerie’, which has become one of the biggest songs of this millennium – and their last album ‘You Can Do Anything’ in 2008.

This year’s line-up also includes Reef, The Wurzels, Skinny Lister and Mad Dog Mcrea plus Black Friday, Thrill Collins, Belfast Busker, Imperial Leisure, The Brim and Me & The Devil.

Festival organiser Ian Whittaker said: “After the success of last year’s festival and the new layout, we are all excited to push the event into new directions once again. The seventh edition is guaranteed to be a memorable one.”

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Club Fromage, the overload of cheesy dance floor bangers and chart-topping party songs will return for a nightly dose of feel-good fun. The Woodland Silent Disco will once again spring up under a canopy of apple laden branches so late-night disco-goers can dance beneath the stars. The Dragonfly Stage will also return to host a string of local artists in one of the most magical locations.

By day, festival guests can meet and greet the resident grannies as they race around the grassy grounds on motorised sofas. By night, the lovely ladies will be found in the depths of a giant wardrobe filled with blouses, bloomers, banging beats and a bar.

Away from the music side of things, the second round of Rattler Olympics will fuel the competitive side of this year’s guests by offering a programme of welly wanging, barrel pushing and apple bobbing. With games planned for all the family, Little Orchard has a host of awards and prizes up for grabs.

Easing tired minds and fuzzy heads, The Zen Den will pop up in the grounds of the festival with a variety of energising classes including Kundalini yoga, laughter yoga and Arcoyoga.

Sign the little ones up to a variety of exciting outdoor courses across the weekend including survival skills, wildlife and nature awareness, foraging and bush craft. Families can also enjoy the bouncy castle area or head down to the Healey’s courtyard where children can meet the resident ponies, chickens, rabbits, ferrets, Pygmy goats and of course the Cornish black pigs.

Alongside this, festival guests can make the most of the complimentary tractor rides which showcase the beautiful grounds and blossoming orchards.
