A NATURE board has been installed for residents and visitors to learn more about Alresford Creek.

Developer Taylor Wimpey East London has installed the board on the banks of the water as part of its Staunton Gate development in the village.

The board is part of the developer's £795,000 contributions for the area, which will go towards things like healthcare, education and new goalposts for a village football club.

Frank Belgrove, chairman of Alresford Parish Council, said: "It’s so refreshing to see Taylor Wimpey get so involved in the community.

"The bespoke noticeboard gives a unique touch to Alresford Creek and allows residents and visitors to learn more about the wildlife surrounding our village.”

Michael O'Leary, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey, added: "It’s a pleasure to have helped to give the people of Alresford a beautiful noticeboard to keep the community informed on wildlife, as well as our other community engagement projects close to our Staunton Gate development.”
