FAMILIES enjoyed a trip back in time to learn about the Tudors.
Southchurch Hall, Southchurch, welcomed families for the event which saw plenty of fun including costumes and traditional customs of the time.
Visitors enjoyed the chance to get into armour and try other aspects of Tudor life at the popular venue.
There was dancing and other fun at the event on Sunday.
Families and children said they really enjoyed the day.
The historical venue was decked out with traditional displays including dining areas and Tudor feasts.
Jeremy Pottman, 40, from Southend said: “Everyone really enjoyed the day.
“I took my two daughters who loved the day and enjoyed learning about the Tudors.
“The costumes were amazing and I was so impressed with them.
“I think the actors, organisers and venue bosses did an amazing job.
“I know Southchurch Hall does hold great events so I am not surprised.”
The hall is a Grade I Listed Medieval moated house.
