A WOMAN was found dead at home in Colchester after taking a drug overdose, an inquest has heard.
Natalie Seager was found unresponsive in her bedroom at her home address following concerns being raised for her welfare by family members.
At Chelmsford Coroner's Court yesterday an inquest into her death was opened and adjourned.
Howard Goddard, Coroner's Officer, said: "Paramedics attended and confirmed her death at the scene.
"Police attended and confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances.
"A postmortem was carried out by Dr Wu at Colchester Hospital.
"The cause of death was given as multiple drugs overdose."
Toxicology results found morphine and other drugs in her system.
Senior Coroner Caroline-Beasley Murray fixed a date for the full inquest of September 10.
She said: "I will need to see the postmortem exam, toxicology results and police statement.
"Something from the family would also be helpful."
