THREE men have appeared in court charged with attempted murder following a serious assault earlier this week.
Devon and Cornwall Police said that officers were called to reports of a 29-year-old man having been attacked near to the Morrisons petrol station in Agar Road, Illogan Highway, Pool, late on Monday night (July 15).
A spokesperson for the force said that the victim was taken to Treliske Hospital in Truro having sustained serious facial injuries.
He has since been released from hospital.
Following a police investigation, three men have been charged in connection to the incident.
Daniel Back, aged 18, Wayne Back, 27 and Jason Back, 48, all of East Pool Park, Redruth, have been charged with attempted murder.
All three appeared at Truro Magistrates Court on Wednesday, July 17, and have been held on remand until their appearance at Truro Crown Court on Tuesday, August 13.
