SOUTHEND United manager Kevin Bond is worried by his side’s defensive form ahead of the forthcoming League One season.
Bond has yet to see Blues keep a clean sheet during a run which, including pre-season friendlies, now stretches to 10 games.
And the Shrimpers boss is keen for that to improve.
“It is a worry,” said Bond.
“You could understand it if we were maybe too open but that’s not the case and we seem to be conceding from nothing.
“It does leave you scratching your head but I’m not going to make a big deal of it at this stage.”
Bond - whose side were beaten 2-1 by Exeter City in a behind closed doors clash yesterday - also confirmed he is still keen to sign more defensive reinforcements for the Shrimpers.
