HADLEIGH & Thundersley made it three wins in a row with a seven-run win against Chelmsford.

The victory pushed Hadleigh up to fourth in the Premier Division standings and delighted skipper Adam Dobson.

"To be honest it was one of the more ridiculous games I’ve been involved in," said Dobson.

"Chelmsford outplayed us for the majority of the game but somehow we snatched a victory out of nowhere.

"It’s hugely pleasing for me as it feels like a bit of a bonus to come away with 20 points when we only really performed at the end of the match."

And the game again saw Hadleigh's 50 over plan work well as their fine run of form continued.

"That makes it three on the bounce for us now," said Dobson.

"It’s so difficult to string results together in this league but I feel like the plans we set out at the start of the 50 over games have worked so I’m very pleased with that.

"We just now need to keep looking forward to the next week and taking each game as it comes.

Hadleigh batted first and were bowled out for just 156.

Sam Handley top scored with 56 while Luke Smith was the second highest scorer with 25.

However, the low total proved to be enough for Hadleigh as they soon dismissed Chelmsford for just 149.

Haider Ali Syed Zaidi did the most damage with the ball for Hadleigh as he took 3-39 while Antonio Greenidge took 2-21 and Oliver Smith 2-9 as their fine form continued.
