FORMER Portsmouth striker Svetoslav Todorov is set to join Southend United in a coaching capacity, Echosport understands.
The 40-year-old former Bulgaria international had been coaching within the academy at Crystal Palace.
But Todorov now seems set for the Shrimpers following the departure of assistant Kevin Keen who left to take up a role with West Ham United’s academy.
Todorov scored 26 goals for Portsmouth during the 2002/03 season to fire the Hampshire club into the Premier League when Blues boss Kevin Bond was part of Harry Redknapp's backroom team at Fratton Park.
