A PARISH council have warned drivers to stick to the speed limit or face a ticket.
Southminster Parish Council put out information in their council report which said the 20-mph speed limit in High Street and Burnham Road is actively monitored.
A council spokesman said: “The Police and Community Protection Team have been in the village issuing penalty notices and they will be returning on a regular basis.
“During April, nineteen offenders were caught by the Community Protection Officers speeding through the village, during four Tru Cam patrols.
“One fixed penalty charge notice was issued, and seven vehicles were moved on.
“When a vehicle is moved on, it means that the allocated five minutes before a notice can be issued has not been met.
“Disabled drivers displaying a blue badge are permitted to park on double yellow lines for up to three hours.”
