A CHILD has been taken to hospital with head injuries after a crash in Benfleet.
The nine-year-old boy was hit by a car at around 7.30pm last night on Ferry Road near Benfleet Railway Station.
He was taken to hospital with head injuries.
There is no update on his condition at this stage.
Essex Police are appealing for information.
A spokesman said: "We were called at 7.30pm on Wednesday, April 17 to reports of a collision involving a car and a child.
"The child, a nine year-old boy, was taken to hospital with head injuries."
