This haul of weapons was seized in Basildon
FIVE people have been arrested and a haul of "deadly" weapons seized after a police incident in Basildon.
The Essex Police Operational Support Group stopped a car in Basildon on Wednesday evening shortly before 7pm which had five people inside.
All five have been arrested, and five weapons were seized including a gold machete, hammer, baton, kitchen knife and pocket knife.
The Essex Police OSG tweeted: "Proactive stop in Basildon. Five in a car and all arrested and some deadly weapons taken off our streets."
