COMEDIAN Phill Jupitus has been fined over a hit-and-run car crash.
He has been fined £300 and given five points on his driving licence after the incident.
The Never Mind The Buzzcocks star, who recently moved from Leigh to Fife, Scotland, in 2017, failed to stop after smashing his Volvo XC60 SUV into a Ford Ranger pick-up truck in Colinsburgh, Fife, last December.
The Essex funny man left the Ford car damaged at the side of the road.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
The charge states that the 56-year-old's car collided with the Ford, and that he failed to stop and give his name and address to the owner of the car.
His not guilty plea to a second charge of failing to report the accident, which happened a few miles from his home, to police within 24 hours was accepted.
