THREE men have been arrested in connection to robbery and kidnap investigations in Southend.

The first incident took place in Southend's high street where a man in his 60s was assaulted and had his bag, bank card and cash stolen.

He suffered a broken leg in the incident.

The second robbery took place in Chichester Road where a 19-year-old man was threatened with a knife, forced into a car and had cash stolen.

The man was later let out of a car at a taxi rank in Grays.

Both incidents took place in November.

After a CCTV appeal, shared in the Echo, Essex Police officers have now identified men who they wish to speak to in relation to the robberies.

An 18-year-old man from Walworth, London, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and kidnap.

He was bailed until March 15.

A 21-year-old man from Blackfriars, London, was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of robbery, kidnap and fraud by false representation. He was released on bail until March 14.

The third man has not been arrested at this time.

Police enquiries are ongoing and officers are still keen to speak to anyone with information about either incident.
