Man has been detained after a police chase in Rochford
A MAN has been detained after a police chase ended in a crash in Southend.
A car failed to stop for officers in Rayleigh Road, Eastwood, at about 2.40pm today.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "A man has been detained after an incident in Southend.
"A blue Vauxhall Astra failed to stop for officers in Rayleigh Road at around 2.40pm on February 18.
"Officers pursued the car.
"The car was then in crashed with another vehicle in Rochford Road, Southend, and came to a stop.
"One man has been detained."
