Police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Benfleet.
Officers received reports of a group of men, who had their faces covered, leaving a property in Douglas Road at around 2.45pm on Monday, January 21.
It was reported they were armed with golf clubs and mallets.
Four men, aged 27, 28, 30, and 34, were later arrested in central London on suspicion of aggravated burglary and are currently all in custody.
A 33 year-old man from Benfleet was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and abstracting electricity and has since been released under investigation.
