A 3-1 victory over Barking allowed Canvey Island to make it five consecutive away matches unbeaten.
Goals from Adam Vyse, Frankie Merrifield and Martin Tuohy resulted in Tobi Joseph's late goal being no more than a consolation for Barking at Mayesbrook Park.
And Gulls boss Mark Bentley was pleased to see his side's fine run of form extended.
"We are enjoying going away from home," said Bentley.
"It was on another difficult pitch because it was very bobbly, but we managed it well.
"Generally, the way we managed the game was really good.
"We caused ourselves a few problems by overplaying at times in difficult areas but we were first to everything and that's a real credit to the boys."
Vyse rounded off a fine move by opening the scoring midway through the first half, while Merrifield doubled Canvey's advantage seven minutes later.
Merrifield was denied a second goal when ex-Gull Jack Edwards headed the attempt onto the underside of the crossbar, but Tuohy got his name on the scoresheet in the second half.
Vyse struck the base of the post before Joseph’s ferocious effort, with two minutes to play, gave Gulls goalkeeper Harry Palmer no chance.
Barking were handed a stoppage time penalty after a foul by Jordan Brown, but Sahr Kabba's tame effort was saved.
Canvey Island: Palmer, Brown, Collins (Francis 68), White, Warren, Topley, Agyakwa, Hutchinson (Simmons 78), Tuohy (Gilbert 78), Merrifield, Vyse
