CHILDREN enjoyed crafts and religious based activities at a Messy Church session.
It was held at St St Katherines Church, Hilton Road, Canvey.
Reverend Marion Walford said it was a great event.
She said: "We hold Messy Church on the first Saturday of the month.
"We had to extent it to have two sessions as it has become so popular.
"This time at Messy Church we had a theme of epiphany, which is when the three wise men went to visit Jesus, in the bible.
"We had various activities including arts and crafts, where the children made stars and crowns.
"We also had a story time when I read the story of how the wise men visited Jesus and we also had a time of worship.
"The children really enjoy the event and get excited for the different activities, I think the arts and crafts were the most popular on the day."
The event was held on Saturday January 5.
