ALEX Wall marked his return from a three-match ban with a brace of goals in Concord Rangers’ 2-2 draw with Wealdstone.

The frontman made his first appearance since being sent off against Chippenham Town last month.

And Darren Beale, the Beach Boys’ first team coach, was pleased to see Wall make a goalscoring return to Sammy Moore’s starting line-up.

“Wally is such a threat and he popped up with two goals,” said Beale.

“Both were good goals and it was good to see him back in the side.

“I think a draw was a fair result over the 90 minutes.

“We started really well, got an early goal and were on top for the first 20 or 25 minutes.

“They got their noses in front late on but credit to the lads because they kept going and maintained our good home form.”

Wall headed a Tyrone Sterling cross home with 11 minutes on the clock, but David Pratt tapped home to level matters after Sam Beasant had denied Eoin McKeown.

Pratt doubled his tally after 82 minutes to edge the visitors in front, but Wealdstone were denied all three points as Wall grabbed his second goal of the afternoon two minutes later.
