TELEVISION stars will be coming together to go head-to-head for a charity football match.

There will be more than a dozen celebrities taking part in the game including the two captains, Eastenders star Danny Dyer and former X Factor winner, Shayne Ward.

The Only Way Is Essex stars will also be playing, including Dan Osborne, James Argent, and Liam Gatsby.

The match, organised by Sellebrity Soccer, will be the first time it has been hosted in Essex at Southend United’s home ground of Roots Hall stadium, in Victoria Avenue.

All proceeds from the game will be split between Magic Moments Children’s Charity and Southend United Community and Educational Trust.

The star-studded squad will also consist of a host of Love Island 2018 stars, from Jack Fowler to Dom Lever, and soap-stars including Jake Wood, who plays Max Branning in Eastenders has also been confirmed.

Essex boy and TV presenter, Jeff Brazier, is set to play, alongside MC Harvey, the So Solid Crew member who also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, Jay Hutton from E4’s Tattoo Fixers, Matt Lapinskas, ex-Eastender and Dancing On Ice star, and many more.

A spokesman for Magic Moments Children’s Charity, said: “We are immensely proud to be involved in this event.

“The money raised will go towards sending families whose children suffer with life-limiting illnesses or those families have suffered a child bereavement, to Disneyland Paris.

“These trips really do give the families the opportunity to make treasured memories.

“In 2018, we again raised a considerable sum of money allowing us to take a total of 272 people across the 3 weeks to Disneyland Paris.”

Magic Moments has been arranging trips to Disneyland since 1998 for children and their families from the 13 hospices the charity supports.

The trust, which is the football club’s official partner, aims to get more communities in south Essex active by providing quality and inclusive football and sports provision.

The aim is to improve health and well-being, education and training and to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.

The trust also exists to promote community cohesion and shared common values.
