Basildon Hospital
AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a one-day-old baby in Basildon Hospital.
Ennis John Pecaku was born in Basildon Hospital on September 27 this year. However, he very sadly died the next day on September 28.
The inquest into his death opened at Essex Coroner's Court on Thursday.
Coroner Caroline Beasley-Murray heard that following his death a post mortem examination was carried out to find the provisional cause of death to be breath asphyxiation during birth.
The inquest was adjourned until June 24.
