A woman was threatened at knife point in her car.

The victim, aged in her 20s, was driving in Dunlop Road, Tilbury at around 8.50pm on Sunday, November 25, when a car came behind and flashed its light.

The vehicle then overtook her and stopped suddenly before a man got out the passenger side.

He opened her car door, put a knife to her face and pulled her out of the vehicle while threatening to take her car.

He then suddenly got back into the car he was travelling and was driven off.

Police arrested an 18-year-old man at around 12.15am on Wednesday, November 28, on suspicion of robbery and he has been released on bail on Friday, December 21.

Officers understand there was a group of 20 youths in the area who may have witnessed the incident and we are keen to speak to them.

Police would also like to hear from anyone with information or dash cam footage.
